Overview

The AmTrust Europe surety team provides cover to pay for compensation or damages should a legal or contractual obligation not be fulfilled.

We primarily underwrite risks for large national and multinational corporations within the construction, engineering, manufacturing, travel and services industries.

We also provide insurance for companies that would need to present specific bonds to local or private authorities in order to tender for their development contracts.

Contract Surety

  • Performance bonds: Guarantees the completion by the contractor of their obligation to carry out a work or supply or lend services
  • Maintenance bonds: Guarantees, for a period of time, the smooth operation and/or the quality of the execution of the work and of the supply or lending of services within the terms of the contract.
  • Material & Stock deposit bonds: Guarantees that the materials and equipment supplied to a contractor are incorporated within/or used for the finished product.
  • Advance Payment bonds: Guarantees the proper application of the money paid to the contractor in advance of the performing of the works.
  • Retention (otherwise known as maintenance) bonds: Guarantees the completion of a contractor’s maintenance obligations in return for the release of the money retention held by the insured.
  • Subdivision bonds: Guarantees that the developers and contractors complete the installation of sewers, roads, and water services within urban developments which they are constructing.
  • Barter bonds: Guarantees completion of terms of a voluntary contract of exchange entered into by two parties
